A prize is awarded each year for the best paediatric radiology audit, presentation, poster etc by a local trainee.
Any trainee who has undertaken a paediatric radiology project in 2013/2014 please contact Dr Sandra Butler, Sandra.Butler@ggc.scot.nhs.uk, directly so that it can be considered for the prize. This may include former trainees (completing training in 2013-2015).
The 2015 Research Day will take place on the 9 November at the National Railway Museum in York. This event is for radiologists only, and will be of interest to radiology trainees and consultants interested in undertaking research, academic clinical fellows, clinical lecturers and academic radiologists. The purpose of the day is to inspire and enthuse radiologists to undertake research.
This is a free event but places are limited. Please find how to book here.
Attendees will have the opportunity to bring posters showcasing their research and to discuss their work amongst their peers and respected academic radiologists. Roentgen’s Den will be held in the afternoon to allow individuals to present research ideas and have them appraised by experienced researchers to help develop the research idea and improve the methodological approach and study design. Attendees should submit a one page proposal ahead of the event for the panel to review to email@example.com
This meeting will be held in parallel with the UK Radiology Research Leads meeting which there will be a large number of respected academics at this meeting on hand for advice and networking.

The 3rd West of Scotland Radiology Ball was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, on the 16th of May 2015.
A total of 85 radiology colleagues, family members and friends who were in attendance managed to raise over £900 for the Yorkhill Children’s Charity.
We like to congratulate Dr David Stobo from the Victoria Infirmary as the inaugural recipient of the West of Scotland Trainer of the Year Award.
